Fort Osage had their fourth to last meet at Swope Park in Kansas City Thursday, Sept. 21.

Senior runner Hailey Alvis gave her insight on how she felt she had done in her 19:19 first place finish at the Grandview Invite.

“After my run and seeing that I had finished first, I felt really proud of myself, and I do believe I did my very best on this run,” Alvis said.

Sophomore boys Varsity Cross Country runner Michael Reddick finished 10th with a time of 17:19 to lead the Indians.

“I  felt I did well, not my very best I could have done but I am really happy with how I did over this race,” Reddick said.

Head Coach Chris Early is also very proud of how his runners have come so far this year.

“With the weather being super hot, I am very impressed with how the whole team raced their very best and I’m super proud of how we placed in 3rd,” Coach Early said.

All varsity runners earned medals for placing in the top 30 runners in both the boys and the girls races.
