The boys varsity basketball team lost to Oak Park 89- 63 Jan. 30. The Indians started out rough when Oak Park’s Kaden Evans scored a 3-pointer followed by 2 more scored by Ochai Agbaji and after that, they never recovered.

“Going into the game we knew that we had to look out for Evans and Agbaji, they are both  Division I college recruits so we knew we had a challenge ahead of us,” Head Coach Josh Wilson explained.

Agbaji ended up leading the Northmen with 31 points. Going into the second half things almost seemed to turn around for the Indians when junior Jared Larson scored two 3-pointers. Senior Chad Sederwall scored a total of 14 points for Fort Osage including a 3-pointer.

“Going into the 2nd half I did whatever I could do to get the spark going again,” Larson said

The team will travel to Staley High School for their next game on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018. Coach Wilson hopes to learn from their mistakes made in last nights game to help the team move forward.

“We get to play another day,” Coach Wilson said. “That’s all that matters right now.”
