The Varsity Tennis team wrapped up their season against Ruskin, winning 9-0 on Thursday, May 3. There record is now 4-8 for the season. It was also senior night for Joshua Smith, Addison Wilson, Tanner Krause, and Cole Friel.

Smith liked helping the underclassmen by teaching them new techniques.

“I liked helping younger players and watching them grow through the season,” Smith said, who has been sidelined with a foot injury and was unable to play.

Krause liked the away games because he got to learn more about his teammates.

“Away games are the best part of tennis because we got to bond as a team,” Krause said.

Friel thinks playing tennis was a way to enjoy high school.

“Playing tennis throughout high school gave me a way to make memories,” Friel said.

The team will play in the Class 2 District 14 tournament on May 7.
