Photographing a basketball game, Senior Logan Crabtree lines up the camera to get the perfect frame. As a player takes the shot, Crabtree clicks and holds on the shutter button to get the perfect action image.

Crabtree began his photography adventure by taking Photographic Technology his freshman year, and then enrolled into Yearbook Productions his junior year. He’s been in yearbook ever since.

“Junior year I was able to start up in yearbook and it was something I was really able to find happiness in,“ Crabtree said.

He had an interest in photography before he started high school. Crabtree has always been fascinated by cameras and taking pictures. He loves taking pictures of sports, specifically basketball and football.

“My favorite thing to photograph is either basketball or football because I love watching both sports,” Crabtree said.

He finds that spending time with his friends in yearbook class is the best part. Something that sticks out about Crabtree is his dedication to creating the yearbook.  Senior Lorann Parker enjoys his positive presence.

“Logan always brings such a positive energy to everything he does and he’s very passionate about everything he does,” Parker said.

Additionally, he’s a reliable worker. He helps his classmates whenever he can. Junior Alizay Gardner appreciates the hard work he puts in.

“He’s very reliable,” Gardner said. “He’ll come to you to see what you need help with. He’s also a great friend.”

After high school Crabtree plans on attending University of Central Missouri. He plans on majoring in political science or education.

After taking pictures of the game, Crabtree looks over the images he’s taken, reviews what needs to be touched up when editing. He gathers his equipment, leaves the gym and thinks about the images that may make it in the yearbook.
