Wilson is planning on continuing her athletic and academic career at Arkansas Tech where she plans to major in cosmetology. Wilson believes the best advice to the upcoming classes is to always keep up with school work, and have fun when you can.
“Always remember to have fun, don’t get carried away with softball,” Wilson said, “Focus on having fun and showing your love for the sport.”
Fort Osage High School ended the season by winning 23 games and losing eight. Teammate Senior Izzy Cobb describes Wilson as a very positive person. Cobb’s favorite memory with Wilson is the warm-up talks right before the games.
“She always has something funny to say just to get the team out of their heads.” Cobb said, “Overall Nevaeh is a great person and always genuine.”
Wilson has a batting average of 0.525, and an on base percentage of 0.556. Senior Sidney Sullivan describes Wilson as a very funny and positive person, and very educated in softball.
“Her humor is something I rely on when we are in tough situations during a game,” Sullivan said, “personality when I need someone to lift me up Neveahs always there.”
Wilson’s family is very important to her and believes they have inspired her to be better, and she appreciates everything they’ve done for her.
“My family sacrifices so much for me and I’m forever thankful,” Wilson said.
As Neveah rounds 3rd base going to home base, the realization hits her this will be the last point of her High School year and now she will be moving on to bigger and better things.
