Senior twins Niki and Kyli Bisbee have always shared everything. They’ve shared a room, clothes, the same interests, and the basketball courts. Soon, one of those things will change. Before they know it they will step onto the court for one last time together and close that door.
The Bisbee twins have been a part of the girl’s basketball team since freshman year but have been playing together since 2nd grade. K. Bisbee feels being twins on the court is an advantage.
“Being twins makes the job easier I think,” K. Bisbee said. “We have that twin telepathy on the court, we have a special connection.”
They both agree that the best part about being on the team is creating bonds and growing together. Sophomore teammate Abbee Herrman thinks that the Bisbee twins bring a positive attitude to the team.
“When I’m not doing well or getting frustrated they can always calm me down,” Herrman said. “When I make a good shot or play good defense they are always first to high-five me or cheer loudly.”

The Bisbee’s are still undecided on college but are likely going separate ways for the first time. N. Bisbee believes that it’s bittersweet that their time on the court together is coming to an end.
“It’s sentimental considering I’ve been playing with her since we were eight,” N. Bisbee said. “I have never known anything different.’
After sharing their entire young lives they will finally gain their independence. While they don’t know how far apart college will take them, they do know that they’ll always be best friends. But if their entire lives have taught them anything, is that the other will always be there when they are needed the most.
