On Friday November 3, 2023 Fortnite went back home. The OG Chapter returned and everything seemed perfect. The new mechanics were still in the game: mantling, sprinting, fast builds and edits. Even zero builds were still there.
The Og season was amazing starting off, everybody loved the game once again. Some players were angry because they still had zero builds and new mechanics but others thought it made the game interesting bringing the new mechanics and game modes to the og season. The grenade was overpowered, most players in the build died if someone spams with the grenade launcher. Streamers like Ninja, Typical Gamer were also happy loading on for the first time and playing the og season.
All the guns returned in the new season and over 44 million players logged in, making Fornite history. Hopping into a solo match for the first time in the new season filled me with excitement. The OG pump and tactical shotgun were back as well as the Assault rifle. I never got to play OG season before so it was so exciting to be able to play.
Each week a season changes from season 5 to 6 and then 6 to 7. Planes also made a return during season 6 which improved mobility, and players loved driving and shooting enemies with the plane. Hoverboards returned, but weren’t as popular. Golf karts and quad crashers also were great for rotating and driving people over with.
Boogie bombs were another tool that players used in zero builds and builds. I used them against my friends and enemies to make them dance, but you have to be careful not to boogie bomb yourself with the enemy.
Sadly, the Fortnite OG chapter came to an end Saturday, December 2, 2023. The Big bang event with a huge Eminem concert took us to another timeline. Chapter 5 Season 1: Underground is now available to play.
