New alum Tyler Brison feels after graduating high school that it’s already a different atmosphere.

“It was an awesome experience and the last time I’ll be seeing some of my fellow classmates,” Brison said.

Brison is in the Missouri A+ Program and also wants to pursue an education degree and become a social studies teacher.

New graduate Bailee Rinacke finds this event bittersweet but also a surreal feeling.

“It was very overwhelming and scary at first but after it was like this amazing feeling of ‘wow I really did it,’” Rinacke said. “It was just amazing all around.”

She’s going to be furthering her athletic career by playing softball at MCC while also getting her associates degree there. After those two years, she’ll be attending UMKC and majoring in nursing and minor in business. After that she’ll be going to a culinary and beautologie school.

New alum Stevie Gabb believes that although it feels good to have his diploma, it also feels depressing to break some bonds he’s built over the last four years.

“Graduation was a great experience,” Gabb said. “I felt like I was able to see all my friends one last time that I might not see again.”

Gabb plans to go to MCC to further his education in business.

Evan Funk earned Valedictorian and Precious Plaisime earned Salutatorian. Funk and Morgan Watkins gave the class speeches.
