With the current status of our taxation climate I want to give a coherent guide to make sure that when Musk or anyone checks your annual spending history, they will see you as a trustworthy American that knows how to get it without any blemishes. So here are a couple:
- Don’t buy Devil May Cry 2.
- Don’t waste your tariffs on getting Devil May Cry 2 imported.
- AVOID Devil May Cry 2.
- What to do if you have bought it, burn it and hope Musk doesn’t catch you escaping the country for [evasive] reasons.
- Is it that bad, yes, but first how did this hellspawn crawl out of its pesthole?
Following Itsuno’s work on SNK V. Capcom, they decided to task him to work on reorganizing the freshly open Devil May Cry series, to the point of dropping original director Kamiya nearly a year after the first title’s release. Which would be the methodology for Clover studios (a subsection of Capcom) and Kamiya to split off to make Platinum Games. With the new leadership, Capcom tasked the team to make and reallocate certain quarks of the sequel within four months. Yes, four months, I’m sure the little “employees” (children who crave work in the mines) have more time to create a knock-off Gucci dress than the development deadlines for this game. Due to this, the game’s release and legacy has been boiled down to the Cleveland Browns past season. Horrible. This game is so bad that some just completely ignore the game’ existence. For instance, Discord user Leo, became quite confused when I talked about the game and what their opinions were on it.
“Wait… is this a typo?” They continued to question, “ All I know was the first one and the third, know what, it do be kinda weird there isn’t a true second one.”
This shows the status this game has within the community, but the factors to a great game is based on combat and gameplay, while the visuals being able to get those movements across. The combat itself is very dull with very overpowered range weapons, and really easy difficulty to the point of being boring. The movesets of your melee are very simplistic and also have undercooked animations. A Steam Community Moderator believes the game’s shortcomings stem from the flawed enemies.
“DMC2 has cool enemy designs, but the AI and combat mechanics are TERRIBLE. Most boss fights can be won by just hanging back and range-based attacks.” the Moderator said.
The visuals are horrible with the assets being so ugly, the colors are this brown filtered slop, also the textures are very flat. The enemy designs are basically ripped straight from the first game. The only cool thing is Dante’s outfit and character design, however if you play in this outfit, just play the third game.
Overall, this was such an unfair position Capcom put Itsuno and his team in, however this would be the last shortcoming Capcom would have in ten years, but I’m glad they kept Itsuno for the rest of the series, and to be honest, establishes the foundation and legacy to the shortcomings, also comebacks of Capcom.
