In the arms of Baby Grace

The foundation who donates anything they can.
In the arms of Baby Grace

Baby Grace started on November 16th, 2006 thanks to the idea that Anne Farmer had during a first-year English class, where 6 of her students were pregnant and only two came back to school after having the baby. English Teacher, Anne Farmer, and Juli Yocum partnered with Buckner United Methodist Church to found the non-profit. Baby Grace’s goals are to help out families with young children and give them the resources, education, and bonding time that those families need.

Baby Grace helps any family with children who are aged from newborn to five years old. Junior, Ariana Orellana, believes that Baby Grace is a supportive organization.

“It helps families in need, families that need this type of organization to survive since many of the items they offer for free are really expensive if you go buy them at the store,” said Orellana.

In 2023, Baby Grace donated 50 free diapers each month to 1,447 babies. Doctor Farmer believes that you can help struggling families by donating to the Baby Grace Foundation.

“If you would like to help families in need, we accept diapers of all sizes, we give away 50 free diapers each month so it’s expensive and it is a great need.” Farmer said.

Fort Serves helps Baby Grace by allowing students to help out and package diapers for the foundation. Senior, Neveah McNew has benefited from the help from Baby Grace.

“Baby Grace helped my family by being able to support my mom with clothes, toys, and many other things when she had me very young as a kid in high school,” McNew said.

In the end, Baby Grace is still fighting hard to help all families who are struggling and need help. If you wish to help Baby Grace you can either talk to Dr. Farmer, go to Buckner Baby Grace on Facebook, or go to their website, babygrace.org, to help them any way you can by donating diapers, toys, and other things families need.
