Varsity Cheerleader Isabel Baggs steps on the sideline for her last season of cheering for men’s football, watching the game it sinks in she will be moving on to bigger and better things.
Baggs has been doing cheer for about 13 years. She is planning to go into the real estate business and she would also like to go to esthetician school. Baggs has been involved in women’s soccer and the national honors society for all four years in high school.
Baggs believes the best advice for the rising class man is to always focus on your GPA, and always be respectful to your peers.
“Focus on your GPA, always try your best in class. The main thing you should always do is be respectful to other people around you including your classmates and your teachers,” Baggs says.
Teammate Kyra Rivera described Baggs as not only her teammate but her best friend. Rivera and Baggs have been friends since preschool, still going strong till their last school year ever, senior year.
“My favorite memory with Isabel is everything we’ve done with each other and all the goals we have accomplished together,” Rivera said, “she’s the best person I could’ve asked for to be my best friend.”
Teammate Shanna Mose looks up to Baggs because she’s kind and respectful toward all of her teammates but she mostly looks up to her because she’s captain, Mose says “I look up to her so much because she’s a captain of the team and I would love to be captain my senior year also.”
Leaving the game cheering her heart out for the big win, she comes to the realization that this is really the last year in high school with all her best friends cheering. her teenage years are officially over now she has greater responsibilities.
