WAITING. Ready for the next play to begin Senior Danny Quezada looks at his coach waiting for the play. “I think this year will be good,” Quezada said. “We all have worked hard.”

Danny Quezada is bent down in his stance on the line, waiting for the ball to be snapped to the opponent’s quarterback.  As soon as the ball is snapped, Quezada and the other defensive linemen proceed to jump up to tackle the running back who tried slide through them for a gain on the run.

Senior Danny Quezda plays Defensive Lineman and has been part of the football team for all four years, but has been playing football since 8th grade. Quezada hopes to return to the State Championship again, but to return home with a state win.

“My goal for this year is just to run it back,” Quezada said. “We want revenge for what happened last year.”

Quezada is undecided on college but would enjoy playing football and plans to do real estate. Junior Anthony Thompson feels that Quezada brings good energy to the team.

“He’s always positive,” Thompson said. “He always tries to provide good vibes all the time.”

Quezada believes his biggest motivators are his teammates for wanting to win as a team. Junior Levi Walker enjoys the memories they hold.

“My favorite memory with Danny is after the games,” Walker said. “We go out to eat and then we just hangout.”

He believes that younger kids should just try their best and everything will work out.

While the crowd begins to cheer, Quezada and the other defensive linemen begin to get hyped. They shake hands and pat each other’s heads as the play comes to a stop. Quezada begins to bend down to get into his stance in hopes to do it again.
