Humanity is based on exodus, from the afterlife to this life, we want more, we want the very idea of the grass being on the other side. Within Judaism, it’s Jerusalem, for the Norse, it’s Vallhala. However, the one I want to take is a linchpin to Hinduism and the sacred city of Shambala. This is the basis of the Uncharted 2. But within this journey, we have to look at the combat and the visuals to take in the scenery of it all.
The combat is very unique and is based on one combat. However, it is very basic with one button to attack and one button to counter. The firearm mechanics are very basic, however, the game follows your play style and will provide you with the ammo you want and need on other occasions. There is also an implementation of stealth with very basic rear stealth, over objects, and lastly corner stealth. Each room is a sandbox and the player can decide which approach they want.
R/PatientGamers user, Zxphoz contests that this game isn’t as good but is improved upon, “Yep, Uncharted 2 was one of my least favorite experiences in recent memory. Just hordes upon hordes of awful spongey, helmeted enemies. Uncharted 3 and 4 are great though,” They continue by also explaining.
“ I found it hilarious that they try to paint the villain as some ruthless, murderous person when you kill about 2000 people throughout the story lol.”
I like the parkour of this game with great free-running sections while also combining the puzzle-based climbing sequences from the previous game. This is by far smoother than its predecessor. There is so much variety and the scale of which these segments are shows the masterful design Naughty Dogs were willing to do.
The visuals are really good, with your very basic and realistic art style with motion and face capture. I really like the colors with a nice blue filter and lighting which makes each red and gold pop.
R/PlaystationPlus admin MaggleMyers believes they are still great, despite the modern opinions.
“Man, I was blown away by the graphics when these games came out, ” Myers continues to postulate woefully, “shame people think it’s ‘ugly’ now.
Overall I really liked this game, and creates the basis for character action games to come out after this. Also in the postulation of my own opinion, this is more well deserved than the first Dark Souls and shows what a truly good game is, not just difficulty or graphics or even writing, but all these combined and the journey through this.
