Moana 2 is a PG film released on November 27, 2024. Moana broke records for being one of the most-watched movies on Thanksgiving. It was also named the number-one movie in the world. The Moana character is voiced by Hawaiian actress and singer Auliʻi Cravalho and Maui is voiced by actor Dwayne Johnson. This movie is the second one made but instead of it being about Moana finding out her people who used to be islanders, this time it was about Moana going out exploring new islands. Although this movie is good and one of the top-rated movies right now, it’s still falling behind the original Moana. 

Moana is a very cultured movie. This movie is based on a fictional island, in the Islands of Tahiti. This movie had a lot of mixed emotions. There were adorable parts like when Moanas little sister was introduced or parts that were bittersweet like when Moana’s grandma came back to help Moana become a wayfinder.

In my opinion, Moana 2 did reach my expectations, I see people saying it wasn’t as good as the last one but to me, they are both equal.  The detail in this movie is amazing, with very good detail spinning off the last Moana. I love the music the producers had put in there but the soundtrack from Moana 2 will never be better than the original.
