Junior Leara Wright and Senior Jeremy Likes wear red shirts to celebrate Stoplight Day. Red designated that they were in a relationship. Wearing green meant that a person was single and yellow meant they that it was complicated.

It’s the middle of Courtwarming Spirit week, and students celebrated with Stoplight day, where they showed their relationship status by wearing red, yellow or green. Students wore green for single, yellow for it’s complicated and red if they are in a relationship or “taken.”

“I love showing school spirit and I love seeing everyone in the school show spirit,” sophomore Aliya Monks said.

Freshmen lead in the class points for participation, seniors are right behind them in second place, juniors follow behind and the sophomores are in last place.

“I like how they came up with the theme, it’s cute and destination day is one of the most creative themes,” Library Para Ms. Kim Rupniewski said.

Thursday is Destination Day where  freshman dress like Texans or country, sophomores dress like  New Yorkers or dress preppy, Juniors dress like Coloradans or hikers and Seniors dress like Hawaiians or in beachwear.

“Spirit week gets people more involved and half the school dressed up today,” sophomore Haydynn Roos said.

Friday finishes off with Indian Pride Day. Tickets are sold all week during lunch shifts. The Courtwarming game is Friday night, Jan. 26 at 7 and the dance is Saturday, Jan. 27 in the main gym from 7 to 11 p.m.
