Courtwarming week kicked off on Feb. 6 with all the spirit days. The school not only participated in spirit week, but  a pep assembly, boys and girls double header basketball game and the courtwarming dance.

Royalty was presented during the halftime of the boys basketball game on Feb. 10. The student body voted Seniors Tatyana Blankenship and Chase Stumfoll as the 2023 Courtwarming Queen and King. Blankenship believes that her winning allowed her to make positive changes on the student body.

“Winning to me means that I’ve made an impact that I aspired to make on the student body in a positive way,” Blankenship said Via Snapchat.

Blankenship has been involved in Student Council and serves as Treasurer on the Executive Board, NHS, YAC, YouBeYou, Helping Hands, World Culture Club, competitive cheer, and also is a coach for Pop Warner cheerleading. Stumfoll plays basketball and baseball as well as serves on the student council. He feels winning was super exciting.

“In the moment I was super excited, now I am excited it’s over,” Stumfoll said Via Snapchat. “It was stressful.”

Other queen candidates included Brielle Redinger, Lorann Parker, Keira Jones, and Marta Valentini. Other king candidates included Simon Nettleton, Daniel Schanuth, Jacob Pahayo, and Brady Darr.
