Sunrise signals start of the year

RELAXING. Students gather at the football field to watch the sunrise to talk and enjoy the beginning of senior year. Senior Peyton Friesz believes that it is bittersweet being seniors. ¨We have grown up together as a class,” Friesz said. ¨Our time is finally here.¨

On Friday, Aug. 23 seniors from the class of 2025 came to the football field to participate in Senior Sunrise. Senior Peyton Friesz thinks that Senior Sunrise proved that senior activities are now here.

¨It made me realize that this is our last year,¨ Friesz said. ¨I can’t wait to make many more memories¨ 

The event was sponsored by the Student Council, the event started at 6:45 a.m. Student Body President Lupe Yamauchi believes that Senior Sunrise was a good start for everyone. 

¨Senior sunrise was a kickstart,¨ Yamauchi said. ¨Hopefully an amazing senior year for everyone.¨

Around 60 people attended the event. Senior Kyli Bisbee feels as if it was a good time. 

¨I had a good time,¨ Bisbee said. ¨I was able to take pictures with my friends and capture a first senior event.¨

The class of 2025 will graduate on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Municipal Auditorium.
