Fort Osage High School’s Advanced Marketing class, also known as DECA, has integrated their class curriculum into the school by opening the Trading Post school store for students and staff. They are open during 5th hour and accept cards and Apple Pay only. They sell items such as Fort Osage apparel, snacks, and beverages.
“The Trading Post teaches about customer service, and is a great way to support DECA,” Scarlett Hewitt, sophomore, said.
The Trading Post is a key part of DECA’s funding for competitions. Students compete in competitions for Districts, State, and Nationals.
“All the money goes back into the DECA student business organization and helps pay for traveling and competitions,” Mrs. Eichorn, DECA Student Advisor.
