The sequel of “Overwatch,” (ESRB Rated T) “Overwatch 2” (ESRB Rated T) was released on Oct. 4 developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, and ran on the Proprietary Engine which is the same engine “Overwatch” uses. The Teen rating is due to blood, use of tobacco, violence, and mild language. “Overwatch 2” is a 5v5 first-person shooter that takes place in a futuristic time period. Players can choose between the 35 and counting playable characters that are split between 3 roles, Support, Tank, and Damage. It has different types of game modes such as Push, Escort, Competitive, Control, Hybrid, Mystery Hero, Deathmatch, Elimination, and Capture The Flag. “Overwatch 2” is free-to-play, and available on Windows, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and the Nintendo Switch.

This is my first experience with the “Overwatch” franchise and I’ve been having an amazing time playing with a couple of my friends. The designers Jeremy Craig, Scott Mercer, and Michael Elliot have made the game really fun, with the constant action and nerve-wracking end games that have me at the edge of my seat while I’m playing. My favorite character so far is definitely Kiriko, whom I’ve been playing ever since I bought the Premium Battle Pass which came with Kiriko.

The Battle Pass consists of 80 tiers of in-game content such as 1 Mythic Skin, 5 Legendary Skins, 1 Epic Skin 6 Poses, 6 Name Cards, 4 Weapon Charms, 3 Play in Intros, 3 Emotes, 3 Souvenirs, and over 30 different cosmetic awards. People can buy the Premium Battle Pass which is 10 dollars or the Premium Battle Pass Plus 20 tiers option which costs 20 dollars.

In my opinion, the best part about “Overwatch 2” is how each character has very different playstyles and abilities. The amount of characters that people can pick from is very cool, especially the fact that everyone has different looks and personalities which Lead Designer Geoff Goodman did a wonderful job on. It really helps people who like characters for their strength, personality, or looks.

I’ve only been playing “Overwatch 2” for a few weeks but I would recommend people give it a try. If you enjoy games that are free to play, action-packed, and have different characters with different move sets then this is the game for you.

Some characters can be hard to play or just plain out confusing so if you ever need a good explanation or tips and tricks of your favorite units I recommend watching GameLeap Overwatch 2 Guides.
